Recently the Centre for Technology Transfer (CTT) has been set up in Torun and it will constitute the main element of the Technology Park located in the town. The idea of creating this Centre was firstly mentioned in the Regional Innovation Strategy and thus included promotion of proinnovative ideas and supporting technological innovations in order to constantly increase competitiveness of the kujawsko-pomorskie region.

Torun Technology Park is realising many projects aiming at entrepreneurship support development, support of innovation and technology transfer. The following projects have been being realised:

• Regional Centre for Innovation Support and Technology Transfer,
• Euro Info Centre PL414,
• Consultation Point,
• Regional branch clusters,
• Examination of technological needs of companies,
• 'Warehouse of engineers',
• Fire-up,
• Team for Econometrical Analyses.

Apart form the above - mentioned projects, trainings, conferences and workshops are organised in such fields like application of IT technologies in business activity, technology transfer, patents, trademarks, company management and gaining grants from the EU for development of companies. It is intended to train about 1500 people each year.

TTP offers to investors attractive investment parcels of the total area equal to 10.3 ha. Those parcels are being equipped with comprehensive technical infrastructure. Their legal status is completely regulated. By the end of 2006 they will have been equipped with all media necessary to run business activity. The parcels will be made available via lease contracts with pre-emptive right after 5 years of exploitation. Individual and flexible approach to each investor.
